Razer Deathadder Ergonomic PC Gaming MouseDue to latest developments razer deathadder ergonomic pc gaming mouse has become a member of razer chroma gaming mouse series. So in this review i will be trying to deep and generally inform you both on Razer Deathadder Classic and Razer Deathadder Chroma. If you all have grabbed your popcorns, here goes our razer deathadder gaming mouse review!

I think we all know that Razer is one of the fat boys in the neighbourhood of gaming peripherals industry. They are one of the main big competitors that have proven themselves. And one of their signature mice is the famous Deathadder which is also being used by many professional gamers and e-sports participants. It takes it’s name from Acanthophis genus of snakes which are native to Australia and New Guinea geography. I find razer very successfull in branding side becuz it definitely looks like a snake ready to bite.

I assume that you already have enough information about gaming mouse and you know how to choose one, but i everytime insist people to repeat their information so you will have more understanding of your needs. That’s why i’m suggesting you to first check out our How To Choose menu on top left of your screen or start by reading our article:

. What is gaming mouse and how to choose one?

If you’re done with the basics, lets get to the fun part.

Razer Deathadder

Equipment: Razer Deathadder 2013
Our ranking: 8.5/10
Price: $59.99 at Amazon.com

Razer Deathadder realy shows itself with its ergonomic features. I can say that it is one of the most comfortableRazer Deathadder Ergonomic PC Gaming Mouse
mice to lay your hands on. It’s form is very suitable for people with claw grip or palm grip type of hand. Actually deathadder is kind of a hybrid between them.

If your hands are smaller than average you can use it as a palm grip which provides you a great comfort. For people with a little bigger hands it is great to feel the handling and overall control over your mouse. It’s design doesn’t allow your elbow to get stressed which is also beneficial for your arthrosis health.

Razer Deathadder is an optical infrared gaming mouse which offers quite a high dpi for an optical mouse. Deathadder classic comes with 6400 dpi 4g optical sensor while its younger brother Deathadder Chroma offers 10000 dpi. Razer Deathadder Ergonomic PC Gaming MouseAs soon it is optical, it offers you a much more lower lift off distance than a laser mouse. So your cursor won’t remove and ruin your targeting when you lift off your mouse and put it back on the middle of your pad.

It’s 5 optimizable buttons and other pre mentioned features make it a great mouse for fps shooter games. It’s also a great option for casual gamers who want a comfortable high quality mouse.

I know that there are two types of readers. One prefer reading long articles and other type prefers more visual engagement like videos, so i present you this honest razer deathadder video review here:

Deathadder Classic vs Deathadder Chroma

Equipment: Razer Deathadder Chroma
Rating: 9/10
Price: $69.99 at Amazon.com

While Razer Deathadder is being updated with it’s new model, the good just got the best. The main difference is in their specifications and additional features. Chroma offers higher dpi rate with 10000 dpi but not only. Chroma is equipped with its new lighting system. Now you can decide on your lighting color from 16.8 million color wide spectrum. Also you can decide whether you want your color to be static or dynamically changing like a psychedelic rainbow.

Here you can check it out all of its cool additional features:

Surface Calibration

One of the coolest things that Razer Synapse enables is surface calibration ability. Your mouse adjusts itself to surface which it operates on. In razer software you can adjust your surface from interface. You’re going to be drawing 8’s on your surface and software will understand your surface and adapt your mouse tracking settings to it. This is a fact that will increase your gaming performance no matter on which surface you’re playing

    NO FREAKING WAY.

I have to upgrade my gaming to cope with this. With either of these. I can’t even.

But seriously, between the two, is the Chroma much better than the Classic or the extra $10 bucks? Do you feel it makes much of a difference, or can I just get the classic?

    • admin says:

Well, it is about your preference. Their ergonomic features are the same, but chroma has higher sensitivity option, so if you’re playing in high-resolution monitors or big screens chroma can come in more handy. And also chroma is in my opinion more fun to use with it’s changing color. But else of that there is no major difference, just some updates. You will be good to go with both of them, but $10 is not a big price gap for me for these cool features, because you will be using your mouse for a long time, think it as a long term investment. Also i will be adding my links soon so you can consider buying it from there if you would like, for both of our benefit 😛

Hey i really like the design of the website and it looks really nice. Everything is easy to navigate and you can jump from article to article.

I can imagine how important the mouse for a gamer would be. My friend was big into gaming and he would click around the screen at a hundred miles per hour.

Thanks for the information. it was def worth the read.

  3. LakanDula says:

Nice videos and nice specifications, videos are always a big help. So your niche is PC gamers, my cousin had a friend who is a PC gaming like RELIGIOUSLY and takes his Razor products very seriously. I went crazy over a product called the Razor Naga, gaming mouse as well as the gaming keyboard. None PC-gamer here.

  4. Anh Nguyen says:

This is one great mouse. I don’t game much though but I do search for comfortable mouses to use as I tend to work fast and clicks a lot so when I heard about how ultra-responsive this is, that got me.

Do you think these mice can be used for other purposes than gaming? I also want to know what is the best gaming mice out there.

Thanks for the review, man. Much appreciated.

    • admin says:

Of course you can use them for other purposes. And actually using gaming mice for all purposes is usually better because they give you a lot of options. And there is no such thing like “best gaming mouse” because they all have different features. But there are very good high end gaming mice that you can do many things with

  5. Jagulba says:

It seems very good mouse indeed. Well done it is very informative post and fun to read. It was very easy to see the good things about this mouse, specially with the video link.
I had a question about how it’s designed. Is there another product for lefties? or they just love righties?

  6. Samantha says:

I’m usually a console gamer, but sometimes games I’m really excited about are only available for the PC, or the PC versions are better, so I’ve been thinking about upgrading my PC gaming situation. Thanks for this gaming mouse review!

The Deathadder sounds like it has great ergonomic features. I like that it won’t move the cursor around if I lift it off the mousepad, which is something that really bugs me about some mice. And it’s good to hear that people with smaller hands can still use it comfortably. I’ll definitely look into the Deathadder gaming mouse – thanks!

  7. Anthony says:

    Hey man!

LOVE this gaming mouse. The Deathadder is really a smooth and comfortable mouse. I had the chance to use it my a buddys place the other day. I’d love to add one to my wishlist this holiday season. Thanks for adding in that Linus video too those guys crack me up.

    Thanks,
    -Anthony

  8. Matt says:

Hi, thanks for the review! It’s really helpful. I have not historically been much of a PC gamer, and only really made the move a few months ago. it can be quite head spinning moving from consoles to PCs; there’s so much to learn and consider about specs and such. Reviews like this make it a bit easier! Your site looks great too!

    • admin says:

Thank you for your appreciation Matt)

I also am a hardcore console gamer same time, but definetely have to give credit to PC master race. You will get used to it, don’t worry))

Thank you for the kind words, people’s opinions are really important for me! Keep in touch!!!

  9. Roope says:

That’s probably quite a famous mouse because I have seen it several times.

If I’m not playing any online games would the normal mouse be good enough for me or would you recommend to buy a special mouse?

Usually any mouse feels enough for me but would it be beneficial to get very high-quality mouse if I’m not gaming?

    • admin says:

Yes, it’s one of the industry standards)

Well your question can have several answers. If you’re a comfortable gamer and on a budget, then there are some great mice for relatively cheap prices. I categorize them as “Best Bangs for A Buck”. But if you’re a gamer who’s looking for excessive performance to aid your needs during hardcore gaming frag rampage, then you better consider getting a more specialised gaming mouse like Logitech G502. There are many types of them, you will understand better if you spend some time around gamingmiceplanet.com.

Getting a high quality mouse OF COURSE will be very beneficial, no doubts on that. The thing is do you really want to get a top notch gaming mouse or not? I would like to get the best quality gaming mouse not only for gaming but for any purpose related to PC. The thing that you must consider while choosing is do you really need the gear and are you willing to pay a higher price to obtain the gear you want.

If you’re looking for a mouse just to use as a mouse but also want to be able to play games with it, you may take a look at “Best Bangs For A Buck”. Best examples from this category are Redragon Centrophorus, Logitech G300S, Havit HV MS672 and several others. I will update this comment to provide you more information when I upload more relative content.

  10. Steve says:

PC gaming seems to be growing more and more popular in the world. And all the new tech can really make a difference on how well a game plays. This gaming mouse looks really top notch. And your review reads easily and makes me want to look into PC gaming now more than ever. Great review!

    • admin says:

I’m glad that my reviews made a difference)) I try my best to be informative as I can be. Gaming is life, keep it true!

  11. Andy B says:

Razer has some of the best mice for sure. I tried out the chroma due to a friend having it and must say its the best mouse i’ve ever used. The price tag is a different story but i would say its worth it.

What do you think is the better out of the 2 Deathadders? It seems that a higher price would mean better quality but they both seem to be really good.
Nice job on the review and thanks!

    • admin says:

yeah, Deathadders are definetely the milestones of gaming mice. For years they have using by many professionals and they still are at top of their game.

You can consider the glorious Logitech G502 as an all-directions mouse but there are of course many options. I recommend you to read our articles, you mayfind very interesting stuff there ;))
