In this Razer Naga mouse review of ours you will be fully introduced to Razer Naga MMO PC Gaming Mouse. As a hardcore gamer i suppose you’re already aware of the magnificent gaming peripheral manufacturer Razer. They have been manufacturing cutting edge gaming peripherals for some time and they’re one of those companies who set the level of competition. Well, as a gamer who has used Razer gear at past, i can admit that they deserve all the reputation they have.razer-naga-2014

Rumors were telling that Razer Naga is the best gaming  mouse for MMO. To be honest, i’m not a fan of the word “The Best Mouse” because i believe that there isn’t one single mouse that’s best for all.

Well, there are really some high-end quality gaming mice which can be used for many multiple purposes and promise satisfaction. But as i always say, everyone has their own preferences and your own gear should be chosen by taking into account some parameters. If you don’t know how to choose a gaming mouse or words like dpi, optical or  laser sensor, mouse grip type, then i suggest you to read these articles for a good start:

What is a gaming mouse? How to choose one?
What is mouse DPI? Mouse DPI explained

If you’ve read them, or else if you are comfortable with your mouse knowledge and already know what you want, then here we go! I present to you Razer Naga 2014 gaming mouse!

When it comes to Razer Naga, i can comfortably say that it’s a MMO monster. Actually it can be defined as the ancestors who brought this concept of MMO mice. After Razer Naga other gaming peripheral manufacturers also started to produce similar type of mice for MMO with side key buttons. One of the greatest examples of them can be Corsair Scimitar. It is also one of my favourite  mice which brought a complete new innovation with it’s key slider side button system. You can check out the review of magificent Scimitar from here.

I myself had the chance to check out Razer Naga MMO PC Gaming Mouse and i can admit that it of course has its major pros. It actually makes you think that it is definetely the best mouse for MMO, which i also support the idea. But my intention here is to help you, not promote the hell out of a product.

Razer Naga really shows itself with the 12 adjustable buttons it has on the side of the mouse. This is the signature feature of Razer Naga which makes all the difference and it definetely is a game changer. And here is the video review of Razer Naga 2014 for the ones who prefer visual. And this review is one of the most honest reviews around you can find. Of course everybody has a different feeling on a mouse but i think it will give you a good amount of information:

One more good thing about it’s ergonomics is that it also has a left-handed model for our lefty mutant friends. So everyone will be happy.

The first Razer Naga didn’t have this ergonomic thumb modification at the keypad side, but Razer Naga 2014 gaming mouse has been modified for better handling. It’s ergonomic thumb grip feels really good actually. The only thing is that, you need to get used to it a little bit. When you’re first starting to use Razer Naga, you will be spending just a little time to adjust your mind to your new mouse. After that it will be feeling just like the W A S D keys.

Razer Naga’s past models’ keys weren’t mechanical. They changed that too and now it actually gives this more saturated feeling of use. It gives you confidence in-gaming when you hear that ‘click’ sound and being sure that you’ve pressed the button to cast that spell.

So, you now know that in-game handling of Razer Naga is pretty useful for MMO. But are you going to use it for your daily purposes also? You of course can do that, and it will be satisfying you more than enough, no matter which resolution your screen is, with its 8200 dpi rate. But you must just be careful in your daily works not to accidently press side buttons if you don’t want the adjusted commands to interrupt your business. So if you’re going to use it for your daily purposes, i suggest you to get used to not using often your thumb for mouse movement navigation.

The matt finish surface of razer naga is also one of the good features about ergonomics which allows your hands not to stick like to a glossy plastic surface and provides you dermatological comfort.

A good area of usage for razer naga is the design field. Like graphic design. Just imagine all those hotkeys that you can attend to it’s keypad. It wins you a good amount of time and it can become one of your unexpandable design tools after a time if you addapt yourself to it.

Razer Naga Scrollrazer-naga-scroll

Another feature that seperates Razer Naga from other mice is its leaning scroll wheel. It actually leans and presses to right and left directions which gives you a huge wheel comfort. This was the first mouse that i’ve ever seen this feature on.

Razer Naga Configurator

Razer Naga comes with its hardware configurator software Razer Synapse 2.0 built in, which you can download from Razer’s own website. With Razer Naga software you can adjust your settings like sensitivity, acceleration, polling rate, lightning and etc.. It’s a great software for razer products without which you will be missing all the fun.

Razer Naga also works fine without Synapse software. You can just connect it to your PC and start using. The keypad buttons in that situation will be set to your numlock keys.

Also the coolest thing about Razer Synapse is you can create many adjustment profiles for your mouse for different scenarios. These profiles are saved in cloud and you can access them when you use your mouse with another computer. Only thing needed to use Synapse is to create a razer account.

Razer Naga AddOn

Razer Naga Addon is an addon specially created for World of Warcraft. You can customize your wow bars with this addon and place the bars anywhere you like. It’s exclusive for wow and if you’re a wow player it might come really handy.

Summary

Well i think you now have a pretty solid foundation of knowledge about naga, but still, i’m going to summ it up.

Pluses:

. With all that fully programmable buttons it’s probably one of the best mice for MMO on the planet.
. It can be a great alternative for the design field.
. Great ergonomic design which provides a good level of comfort.

Minuses:

. It may not be so suitable for other types of games like FPS, but it’s of course everybody’s own choice.
. For the ones who don’t want to break their piggy bank it may come a little pricy.
. MMO mice are a little more bulky than other mice, so some people may prefer a smaller mouse.

Razer Naga Price

Last time i saw Razer Naga price was $79.99 at Amazon. But there usually are sales and you can find it cheaper than this price. You can check it out here from Amazon.com for the latest price and other user reviews.

nice review the controller looks sick. is it compatible with console game system? i remember when i played world of Warcraft that controller with the macro buttons on the side would have been nice. I think your review was insightful and i liked the bullet ed specs. i suggest you make some comparison reviews and that will increse your traffic and your sales.

    • admin says:

Hey Darren! Thank you. About your console compatiblity question, there are some new developed productys to provide transfer betweeen console and mouse-keyboard assembly. As a guy who plays ps3 frequently myself that has been an issue for me too. i love the onsole but sometimes i just think that it could be better with a mouse. I will also be reviewing those kind of products so stay in touch. Also thaks for your feedback)

Hi Duru aka Tyler. I’m not a gamer myself which shouldn’t be difficult to guess from my picture, but my son is an addict and I’ve been looking for a way to help him choose a path in life. Your article gave me a great idea about what he could be doing. Probably he could share his knowledge, I suppose he has learned a lot from his endless hour in front of the console. Thanks a lot and best wishes.

    • admin says:

Hey Oscar) It’s really good that you’re not a strict person about your son that you can think he can be sharing his knowledge of gaming. I think everyone should do the thing that he/she really likes in tyhis life. Just because this tought hasn’t been injected to me before, now i’m considering to go to collage again just in the subject i like. So, i mean your son can of course share his knowledge about gaming if that’s really what he wants to do

Bookmarking so that I can check back and read your response.Do you have any suggestions on what type of product would go well with this type of mouse when it comes to gaming?

great review. I bought one two week ago. thanks alot. I am loving the purchase. I would recommend this to others I seen this again on another site 5 days after getting mine and it was 30 dollars more expensive. . i love the purchase and i got it at a discount.

  6. Paul says:

Thanks for the comprehensive review of the Razer Naga MMO PC Gaming Mouse. I see it has a very good rating on Amazon, which is cool. I myself have a gaming mouse (which I believe I mentioned in another post on the site) albeit with less buttons. Honestly, I don’t think I would need so many buttons. I’ve never been one to really take advantage of them, even though I realize how useful and convenient it can be. Still, I’ll give this one a look. Thanks again.

This is really amazing i was looking for a new mouse to use. This site is easy to navigate and find what I’m looking for. I hope to be buy one of these in the future. Also maybe you could elaborate n mouses that you used that weren’t good and what brand to stay away from.

    • admin says:

      Hey Smed!

I’m glad that you liked the layout and the content. I’m planning on all of that, i just can’t find enough time to make it all quickly. But great things are ahead of us, so keep intouch!!!

  9. Matt says:

interesting page for someone who is interested in online gaming enough to invest in a mouse such as this for the price.
identifies a problem (an adequate mouse to use while gaming) and provides much information in the review of the product offered as a solution to that problem. offers a location to purchase the product (commission for the site holder)

    • admin says:

Yes Matt i think you have defined what this site is all about)) It’s great if you really think that my content is helpful to people))

I’ve had my Logitech g502 for almost a year now, so its about time I look for an upgrade. I heard about the Razer Naga before, but always avoided it because it looked over complicated and uncomfortable. Now that I’m more experienced with mice and they added a thumb rest, I’m willing to give it a shot!

    • admin says:

Razer Naga is good, especially for MMO. But concepts of Logitech G502 and Razer Naga are of course different. Logitech G502 is more of na hardcore FPS-RPG mouse which you can pull out some serious work in games like Call of Duty and Battlefield. No one says that you can’t play MMORPG with it, but Razer Naga is better customised for that genre of gaming.

So, if you are willing to take a sdhot with Razer Naga for MMO, you may be pretty satisfied. But I’m advising you to go out to some store or gaming Expo and try Razer Naga out if you have the chance. This way you would be sure if it really fits you or not.

  12. Dejan says:

    Hello there!
I bought a razer mouse not long ago at our local store but it was freaking expensive. And it doesn’t even have those side buttons that can be useful in so many games. If I knew that I can get this one for 60$ on amazon I would have bought it straight away. I still might, if the other one breaks any time soon. Thanks for the review.

    • admin says:

You’re welcome Dejan)) Yeah, stores are good places to buy Mouse if you’re not into online ordering, but today internet orders are one of the best alternatives, probably the best alternative, to get goods.

As I mention in all my reviews, I’m trying to serve the best service to peple, that’ why I’m trying to point people to places with best prices. Amazon definitely is #1 when it comes to getting your gaming peripheral.
