I think you all know the new mobile gaming concept that has peaked these days! The release of major titles such as Fortnite Mobile and PUBG Mobile, which are mobile adapted versions of these blockbusters, is the solid proof that gaming is evolving to more compact and portable mediums and mobile gaming now is taking a huge leap and it will only keep growing with the new advances in technology!!
If you have a fetish for black and green toned designs, you will be very happy with this news. You may already know about the Razer Phone, one of the most prominent “gaming phones”, and probably the pioneer of them. Black Shark Phone probably won’t surprise you if you’ve seen a Razer Phone before because it also comes with black and green styling, but with curvy and chamfered design patterns. Inside, it hosts some high spec hardware such as a Snapdragon 845 Processor, 8 GB RAM, 1080p 21:9 display and a 4,000 mAh battery.
The Black Shark isn’t hyped up with high rate display such as Razer Phone has done, but one of the outstanding features of it is “True Liquid Cooling” which is known to be used in phones like Lumia 950. It’s not like the cooling system that you come across in liquid cooled PCs, but you can think of it as a heat pipe-style cooling solution. Black Shark is claiming 8 degrees Celcius of temperature.
Price for this baby is around $480 for the model which comes with 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB storage space. I think the price is a steal for a phone which hosts this level of high-end features. Especially the Snapdragon 845 is a good reason to choose it. But I don’t know when Naomi will be selling it directly.
Gaming phones are, in my opinion, still a growing and niche market which still needs some time to reign on a global scale, but in China, it has a decent market with hardcore mobile games like MOBA Honor of Kings which has an overwhelming popularity. Dedicated consoles don’t have the same degree of popularity in China. Also, last month Xiaomi announced its first gaming laptop, Mi Gaming Laptop.
